Only seven players missed the cut at the Buick Invitational; five other Nationwide Tour graduates did not play in the event. Overall, their showing was strong, with top honors among the group going to Matthew Jones of Australia, with a T23 finish. For the season, Chez Reavie is maintaining the best game, which has given him a 15th-place Fedex Ranking.
This week, the Tour is in Scottsdale, Arizona for the always popular, never quiet FBR Open. Aaron Baddeley is the defending champion. Chances are, by today Gary McCord has mentioned building a dome over the 17th hole at least half-dozen times. He thinks it’s still a clever idea.
