Following the Top-25 Golfers Who Received PGA Tour Cards

Most of the guys in the Nationwide Tour are the grinders. They've worked hard for comparatively little money. They've toiled for years to get to where they are as pros.

Each year, the Top-25 on the Nationwide Tour's final money list get their shot at the showcase called the PGA Tour.

Yes, they'll get their PGA Tour card, but It has been said that most of the Nationwide graduates won't see much success. Although talented, some pundits believe these guys don't have what it takes to win and stay on "The Tour." Suite101.com Golf will follow the play of these golfers throughout the year to see how well, or how poorly, they perform. Here are the players, in order of their 2007 Nationwide Tour finish:

Some of the names above may be familiar; Omar Uresti, Brendan Pappas, Chez Reavie, for example. They've been there before and now have another shot. They'll get that shot with the Sony Open in Hawaii beginning on January 10th.

Before signing on with the Nationwide-nay-sayers, take a gander at the past Sony Open Champions with Nationwide Tour experience: Ernie Els, Jim Furyk, David Toms, Jerry Kelly and Paul Goydos.

Regardless of how things shake out at the Sony, Suite 101 Golf will have the results for the Nationwide 25.
